Tokyo Tower

4-2-8 Shiba Park, Minato-ku

This symbol of Tokyo was opened to the public in 1958. It provides great panoramic views of the city that can be enjoyed from the observatory open every day of the year. Tokyo One Piece Tower, a large-scale theme park based on the popular Japanese anime “One Piece,” is located inside Foot Town on the 4th and 5th floors of the tower. With illuminations and other events going on throughout the year, you can be sure to spend a fun day here.

Tokyo SkyTree Town®

1-1-2 Oshiage, Sumida-ku

Tokyo Skytree Town® is one of Tokyo’s newest attractions and the views of the capital that can be seen from the observatories are outstanding. A commercial facility named “Tokyo Soramachi” is attached to the tower and also houses an aquarium and planetarium at its foot. This is the ideal place for all-day amusements.

Tsukiji Market is the place to enjoy tasting Japan’s freshest produce. In particular, Tsukiji Uogashi is a fish market packed with 60 shops – this is even after the recent relocation of Tsukiji Market to nearby Toyosu. Make the most of these delicious fresh foods.

Hamarikyu Gardens

1-1 Hamarikyu Gardens, Chuo-ku

This Japanese-style garden that was once a garden of daimyos (feudal lords) of the Edo Period (1603-1868) includes a tidal pond and two kamoba (imperial wild duck reserves). This pond is the only seawater pond of the Edo Period to remain in any garden in Tokyo, and only when viewed from above is its seagull-shaped contour visible. While taking in the scenic views at this site designated as a Special Place of Scenic Beauty and Special Historic Site of Japan, you can also enjoy a matcha tea at Nakajima no Ochaya.

Outer Gardens of the Imperial Palace

1-1 Outer Gardens of the Imperial Palace, Chiyoda-ku

The Outer Gardens of the Imperial Palace are full of sightseeing spots such as Nijubashi Bridge, Fushimi Tower, Sakuradamon Gate and other historical remains. There is much greenery and many trees, and you can also see lots of wildlife, including swans. Kitanomaru Park is a great place to enjoy the various seasons.

The traditional Edo-style atmosphere remains strong in the Asakusa area, where tourists gather from all over the world. You can enjoy “shitamachi” (downtown) culture via activities such as as praying at Senso-ji Temple, strolling along Nakamise shopping street, or riding in a rickshaw carriage.

This commercial facility housing various shops and restaurants is located in the middle of the city but is surrounded by greenery. You can also feel close to the arts here, since there are cultural facilities such as the Suntory Museum of Art inside. It is a perfect spot to enjoy relaxing in a calm atmosphere.

Kabuki-za Theater

4-12-15 Ginza, Chuo-ku

Initially opened in 1889, this theater has been renovated and rebuilt four times, with kabuki having been performed here for more than 100 years. Kabuki-za Gallery located on the 5th floor of Kabuki-za Tower was opened so that even those who do not watch the performances can enjoy getting familiar with kabuki.
