  • This theme park focuses on Hokkaido Ramen as a means to pass down the legacy of one of Hokkaido’s treasures to future generations. They’ve gathered 8 different prominent ramen shops from within Hokkaido for you to choose from. Panels will convey their history as part of the exhibition within the building, which is themed like a retro Showa Era-style street in Hokkaido. They’ve also partnered with shops to bring you the best of Hokkaido. Famous confectionery shop Ezousagi brings their speciality of Japanese shaved ice and you can pick up souvenir ramen at Sapporo Ramen Republic.

Ryugetsu’s Anbata Sandwich Cookie

  • This delightful cookie is made from shortbread, prepared with Okhotsk salt. Sandwiched inside is a buttercream filling mixed with Hokkaido’s Tokachi-grown adzuki beans. This buttercream combines the depth of Hokkaido-made cultured butter with the soft sweetness of adzuki beans to create a harmonious flavor. Megmilk Snow Brand Company’s Dairy Farm & Milk History Building and Sapporo Factory

  • This is an opportunity to learn about Megmilk Snow Brand Company’s history from literature and old advertisements, as well as see their 1950/60-era butter-making equipment. The adjacent Sapporo Factory offers observation tours. The end of the tour brings the possibility of sampling some of their dairy products. Students studying for their entrance exams are invited to drink Katsugen, a fermented milk beverage, for luck at Katsugen Shrine. It’s possible to make a reservation up to the day before your scheduled visit.

Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill

  • This is one of Hokkaido’s best sightseeing and commemoration spots. It features a bronze statue of Professor William Smith Clark, one of the founders of Sapporo Agricultural College and the man who has been called the Father of Hokkaido’s Colonization. He’s famous for the saying, “Boys, be ambitious.” The pedestal at the base of his statue has a postbox. You can write down your dreams and aspirations to mail it to your future self. When you revisit, you can read the letter and remember.
