Fresh seasonal vegetables from throughout Hokkaido, including the region’s famous onions, potatoes and carrots, are steamed to perfection so as to seal in their delicious flavor.
They are served as cooked on the steaming plate so guests can enjoy maximum freshness.
You can eat them topped with one of our specialty sauces, or add them to a soup curry for an even more flavorsome experience.
We offer three specialty sauces each day.
Salted butter sauce, a Hokkaido favorite, is served as a standard alongside one of our specialty sauces that rotate on a daily basis: black vinegar and onion sauce, Japanese-style sesame sauce, and an Ao-shiso sauce made using the aromatic Japanese herb of the same name.
The third option changes weekly and includes Hokkaido wasabi sauce, smoked salmon dip, balsamic vinegar and tomato sauce vierge, and fresh basil genovese.

Japanese soup curry originates from this region and is still one of the area’s most popular delicacies.
We use salt koji (rice malt) and Hokkaido salmon soy sauce as a base to create this delicious yet healthy dish.
Why not add some steamed vegetables too and enjoy the combination of flavors.

We have partnered with Sapporo Central Wholesale Market to offer a “Kitano Gourmet” experience where you can exchange your hotel breakfast voucher for a fresh seafood or sashimi bowl at the market. This is a chance to enjoy the freshest and most delicious offerings the ocean has to offer.
We highly recommend this option to guests staying several nights, and there is a free shuttle bus provided to take you from the hotel to the market.
