A one of a kind Kiriko glass cutting experience

At the Nihonbashi Glass Workshop, located on the second floor of COREDO Muromachi Terrace, you can enjoy a variety of experiences, including Kiriko glass cutting, accessory and chopstick rest making, and glassblowing. Although the Kiriko glass cutting and glassblowing experiences may sound difficult at first, the expert craftsmen will be on hand to guide you through the process so that you can enjoy the experience without any worries. Our hotel staff actually took part in a Kiriko glass cutting experience.
Of all the experiences offered, Kiriko is said to be the most difficult. First, you choose the shape of the glassware from several options. You can also choose the design, so your options are quite flexible. Once you have chosen the design, you can apply various processes to the glassware, such as lines and circles. This is a task that requires a great deal of concentration, but the joy you feel when you complete it is also exceptional. Your finished work is sure to become a prized possession!
