Awe-inspiring power! Sumo Morning Practice Tour in “Arashio Stable”
A crowd suddenly appears in a quiet residential area... The full-length glass windows reveal sumo wrestlers training hard in the morning!
The Chuo City Tourism Association offers a tour of the Arashio stable, where you can watch the morning practice from a seat close to the ring. During the tour, you will be provided with a headset, and a member of the Chuo City Tourism Association will provide real-time commentary (English only).
In addition to being able to see the sumo wrestlers up close in a rare setting, you may even be lucky enough to see the practice sessions of popular wrestlers such as Wakatakakage and Wakamotoharu. At the end of practice, you can even have your photo taken with the wrestlers!
Why not get up a little earlier than usual and visit a sumo stable to watch the morning practice? There’s no doubt it will leave you with a precious memory.
