A theater-style restaurant offering traditional performing arts and cuisine

In this article, I would like to introduce the “Suigian” restaurant, which is located just a 3-minute walk from the hotel. Since its opening in 2018, it has become a popular restaurant where many customers can enjoy Noh, Kyogen, and classical Japanese dance in a casual environment. Here are some of the attractive features of Suigian.

The first attraction is interior design. The moment you step inside, the dimly lit interior, reminiscent of a theater, will dazzle you with its antique style furniture in vibrant colors, the ceiling decorated with golden carp, and the wooden lighting fixtures that make even the shadows seem like part of the art.

The second attraction is the dining experience. With advance reservations, you can enjoy a meal while watching the performance. The menu is also meticulously prepared, and you can enjoy sushi from an Edomae sushi restaurant, tea from Fukujuen, and sweets from a long-established Kyoto confectionery. In addition, the restaurant uses fine tableware with a history of over 350 years.

Next time you visit Nihonbashi, be sure to experience this extraordinary setting full of mystical charm.
