OMOTE
& OKU
The "front" facing Sanjo Street, with lodgings at the "rear"

An interim garden space loosely connects the street-facing place of business at the "front" with the quiet living space at the "rear".
Taking inspiration from Kyoto-style machiya townhouses, the hotel affords guests the opportunity to take in both the bustling culture of Sanjo Street and the peaceful repose of Kyoto.

The bricks adorning the façade express a sense of style unique to the area, one that has come about through the development of buildings featuring a mixture of modern Western architectural styles along Sanjo Street, Kyoto since the Meiji period.
Stop by the all-day dining restaurant open to the public along Sanjo Street. Pass through the alley to find a private space awaiting hotel guests.
This is your first step to experiencing Kyoto as though you were a local.

The public area is complete with a lobby and lounge that overlooks the courtyard, all-day dining, a bar serving the finest in Japanese sake, a large communal bath, and a fitness gym.

The private area features a private spa complete with a courtyard and living space.
